Daniel McKean: I would like to discover the date and location
of my 4 gr grandfather Daniel McKean's NH marriage to Jennet/Janet Wilson
about 1789 or 1790. Also date of deaths. Daniel and Janet Wilson
are recorded in History of Londonderry, NH and their children were all
born there and recorded in Vital Records of Londonderry, NH, however I
do not have Daniel or Janet's marriage or death dates. (Daniel's
father was John McKean, born 13 April 1714, died 09 October 1793.
John's father, Justice James McKeen was a founder of Londonderry, NH.

James McKeen: I am looking for info about James McKeen
born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 1828. He married Margaret S.
unknown who was either born in Maine or New
Brunswick in 1826. Their eldest son James was born in 1857 and my grandfather
Albert H. McKeen in May 1860. The family came to the U. S. around
1865 and were in WI in 1870. I can't seem to get to the right source
for info from Nova Scotia.

Robert McKean: b.c.1842, Glasgow(?); d.1899, Edinburgh,
Scotland. Seeking further details on Robert McKean, hairdresser,
married Isabella Beddie on 30th August 1866 at the age of 24, in Edinburgh,
Scotland. He is quoted as being born in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland
but I have been unable to find details of this. He died in Edinburgh
on 7th March 1899. Also seeking details of above Robert's parents,

of Gibson McKean, born 8/6/1822, died 4/25/1894 Shihola, Pike Co. Pa. Married
Rachel Ann Hoover 3/9/1849. Father could be Jesse McKean b:12/10/1781,
d:11/7/1861, m: 5/16/1808 to Azabeth Travis :8/19/1794, d:9/27/1868 where
they lived unknown. I am seeking this family history because of some discrepancies

Scotland 1928 est. His father was William John McKean, b. Feb.
1884 and his father was John McKean, b??? d. 1926 was married to Mary Ann

Gibson McKean: Have found that Gibson's father was Jesse McKean.
His father was James McKean born 8 Jun 1738, died 17 Apr. 1808 he was born
in Londonderry, N.H. and married his neice Jemima McKean born 8 Sep 1755
died 8 May 1816 in Shohola, Pa.(This may have been a second marriage).
They lived in Warrick, Orange Co. N.Y. until around 1789 or 90 when they
moved to Milford, Pa. They lived there until a flood wiped out their homestead.
They then moved to Shihola, Pa. where they settled into what is now McKean
Valley. It is thought that James is the brother of Thomas McKean
the signer of the Declaration of Independence by some but I have not been
able to obtain any information to that fact. Would appreciate any help
in this direction.

John McKean: Candle maker in Dumbarton willed his estate to his
brother James McKean in Jamaica 15 December 1813, recorded
January 12, 1814. William McKean, formerly of Jamaica
and then of Dumbarton willed his estate to his sister Elizabeth
McKean Will 9th November 1813. William died 1 March 1814.
One estate included 2 small ships The Elizabeth and The Speedwell.
This family of McKeans from Dumbarton, Scotland evidently had associations
with Jamaica. Does anyone know any more? See other generations
and information supplied by Mr. Andrew McKean of Scotland in the
introductory section.

David McKean: son of James, son of John My Grandmother
was Effie McKean, sister Minerva (Minnie). I was told her father was David
McKean (can't find him) and HIS father was James. Thomas McKean (the
signer) was a 5-Gr.Grandfather to me. I have many bits & pieces of
the McKean History direct & collateral to the signer. My interest focused
on the Civil War service, so I have much info in that area. Any help
in finding DAVID, his father James, and HIS father (said to be John) would
be of great help.

Samuel McKean: b. ca. 1804/05 Scotland> England>NJ
- Looking for information about my g-g-grandfather Samuel McKean.
According to the1850 Hudson County NJ census, Samuel, age 46, was born
in Scotland, and apparently widowed (no wife listed in census). Samuel
married bef. 1832, and was residing in England bef. 1832. Sons Samuel (17),
John (15) and William (12) were born in England. The family moved to NJ
bef. 1843, where daughter Elizabeth (7) was born. I would like to
know where in England his sons were born, where in Scotland Samuel was
born, who his parents and siblings were, who was his wife, and when did
they arrive in the US. Thank you in advance for your help!

John McKean: b. June 1766 - I would like information on John McKean, born June 17, 1766. He had a Naturalization paper in Beaver Co., PA dated November 6, 1804. It stated he was a Native of Great Britain and had resided in the USA for at least 5 years. He had the following children, all thought to be born in Beaver Co., PA.: Achsa McKean Cross, born 1793; James, born Nov. 24, 1795; Rebecca McKean Treadway, born about 1800; Henry Young McKean, born Sept. 18, 1801; Diana McKean Clemons, born Oct. 27, 1804; John McKean, born 1806; and Sophia McKean Clemons, born Mar. 22, 1810. Thomas McKean: My Great-great-grandfather Thomas McKean
left Uniontown, PA in the 1860's and went to Ohio, Illinois and settled
in Freeman, Missouri. I believe his brothers name was Rush.
He had children, but I am only sure of William, but
I believe another brother may have been Thompson. My great-grand-father
William had 2 children with Amanda Davenport of Freeman, Morris Davenport
and Thomas Fredrick, both born in Freeman, MO. Later they moved to
Bourbon County Kansas, where Morris D. Married Nanna Atkinson and
Had three children, Morris Luther (my father), William Cheldon, and Fredrick.
If any of this rings any bells with you, I would greatly appreciate sharing
information.

Brownson McKean: b. 1770 and Louisa (Terry) McKean family Brownson
McKean was b. 1770 on Long Is., NY. He m. Louisa Terry and they had
nine children, the eldest being Samuel Terry McKean, b. 1794. Samuel
Terry McKean m. 1st Polly Hicks, also b. on Long Island. They had
one son, Ira Hicks McKean. Samuel Terry McKean also had eight other
children by his second wife. Samuel McKean later removed to Peoria
County, Ill, where he was prominent in the early affairs of that
county. In 1847, Samuel McKean and his family migrated across the
Oregon Trail to Astoria, Ore. His son, Ira Hicks, had married Jane
Lamoree (Lamoreaux) of Broome County, NY. Eventually their offspring settled
in Oregon and parts of Calif. Would appreciate hearing from anyone
having information regarding the origins of Brownson and Louisa (Terry)
McKean.

Frances McKean: Seattle WA, early 1900s - I am trying to trace
Frances McKean back to Thomas McKean. We believe she is a direct descendent
(gggg-granddaughter ?) of The Signer Thomas McKean. She is the grandmother
of my sons. She was born in early 1900's and lived in Seattle. I don't
know much more. Her married name was Denn and then Gommel.

John McKean: born ?, was a baker of Ship St., Belfast,
Ireland, married Charlotte Bell. His son, John Bell McKean, was born
in 1832 in Belfast, Ireland. John Bell McKean came to The U.S. (year
unknown) studied for the bar, and in 1880 was appointed to the New York
City Municipal Court by Governor Hill, and then in 1889 Mayor Van Wyck
appointed him to the Court of Special Sessions in New York City.
He married Dora (Dorothea) Whitehead in Belfast in 1857. He had a
brother James and sister (name unknown) who also immigrated to N.Y.
I have been unable find any records of John McKean (the judge's father)
in Belfast. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Connie McKean

J. Steward McCain: Father of Walter L. McCain, b. 1893. My Dad, Walter L. McCain, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 26, 1893. Grandfather, J. Seward married to Gertrude Roberts. Susan McKeen: b 1801, Corinth VT. I am looking for parents of Susan Mckeen born October 10, 1801 in Corinth, VT. Susan married Duncan Mcarthur Jan 1, 1818 in Holland, Erie, NY. Hugh McKean: (1753-1849) m. to Jane McCaw (1763-1842). I am looking for information on the ancestors of Hugh McKean (1753-1849) who was married to Jane McCaw (1763-1842) in 1782. Hugh McKean & his wife were born and married in Cty. Antrim, Ireland and emigrated to the U.S. in either 1785 or 1789. They first came to Ohio and shortly thereafter moved to York Cty, PA; then Washington Cty, PA, before finally settling in Mercer Cty, PA were they lived until their deaths. William Henry McKeen: b. ca 1873 in Philips, ME,
father of Archie Snow McKeen. William Henry McKeen was my great-grandfather.
Archie Snow McKeen, his son (my mother's father), was born in Philips,
Maine (ca. 1873) and moved to Massachusetts ca.1900. Looking through
this web sight I have found a Samuel McKeen (26) married to Elizabeth Taylor,
one son named John G who married Hannah Archibald possibly about the time
my grand-father's parents could have wed. There was also a sister
born about 1860. W.H. was in the Union Army. There was word that ancestors
came from Nova Scotia. If you have any information linking my family

Hugh McKean: b. 1708, Hamilton Bann Twp, PA. I am looking
for information about my ancestor Hugh McKean who married Agnes. He was
born abt 1708 in Hamilton Bann Twp, York County, Pennsylvania. His wife
Agnes was born abt 1712 in the same place. I am aware of one child
from this marriage, a daughter Agnes McKean who was born 1734 and married
James McGaughey abt 1856. This daughter died 15 October 1804 in Adams County,
Pennsylvania. Her husband James McGaughey was born between 1724 and 1728
in Hamilton Twp, York County,

Anne McKean: Born 21 Aug. 1800 near Hollidaysburg PA. She married
Isaac Wilson on28 Jan. 1819 in Gurnsey Cnty, Ohio. She told her grandaughter
that Thomas, the signer, was her uncle. Isaac is claimed to be related
to James Wilson, another signer. I am trying to verify both of these claims.
Is there anyone out there who can give me a lead to some good defining
material?

John James McKean: (1802-1883) I am searching for info
on John James McKean, born 1803, from Tennessee, died 1883. His father
was Alexander and mother was Mary. John married
Sarah Holmes and they had Jim. He then married Nancy Ann Elizabeth
Polk and they had 12 children. Many of these lived in the Slidell,
Louisana area. Thanks to any and all who may respond to this query.
